Our approach to swim survival training

With just 10 minutes of swimming per day, for six weeks, watch as your child grows into a skilled and confident self-rescue expert. We focus on a three step approach, teaching children to rescue themselves by floating or swimming to safety until help arrives - and refreshing their skills as they grow.

FOR 6 MONTH OLDS TO BEGINNER WALKERS

The first step is crucial: teaching children to float. Our students acquire skills like breath control, posture, and rolling back to float/rest until help arrives. In the final week, they practice in summer and winter clothing (adding 10-15 lbs), with caregivers invited to join in.

FOR WALKERS AND BEYOND

Once they are ready, students progress to becoming independent swimmers! This starts as soon as a child confidently walks, typically around 12-15 months. They learn breath control, proper swimming posture, and the skills for the swim-float-swim sequence until reaching safety. In the final week, students practice ISR Self-Rescue™ skills wearing both summer and winter clothing, with caregivers invited to join.
